  • RELIEVE---Tense & Release exercises along with Gentle Joint-Freeing Movement relieve physical tension in the body due to stress. These exercises promote flexibility, circulation, and relaxation.                                                               
  • REFOCUS---Grounding Exercises shift the mind's attention to the present moment through sensory awareness and calms the body; both physically and emotionally. Guided Imagery can redirect one's attention to focus on something other than discomfort in the body. Breathing Exercises help to massage the internal organs, improving circulation and energy. This intervention calms the body and lessens the demands placed upon the heart.
  • RECOGNIZE---Becoming Aware of Stressful Thought Patterns, such as negative self-talk and beliefs are a way of decreasing the fuel that ignites the stress reaction.
  • REPHRASE---Once there is awareness of what perception triggers the stress reaction, it is important to rephrase that perception to a more Positive, Uplifting Approach. This improved approach will enable more control over health, relationships and life situations. 
  • ​ RESPOND vs. REACT---Any of the preceding methods either done singularly or in concert are essential to responding rather than reacting to Stress. ​All that is needed is a method to make a change for the better, in addition to a willingness and effort to bring about this change.
